Our family stayed @ the JW House, in June 2009, when our daughter was in the PICU fighting viral encephalitis. I can not began to express the gratitude our family has for this place that became a sanctuary for us in our darkest hour. We are thankful for JW's life. As we continue to walk through a challenging recovery, we remind our daughter, our 3 other children and ourselves to "Never Ever Give Up"! |

I just went through the site, reading about your life story. It touched me in more ways than one. It's amazing that what you accomplished in your life in as much time as it takes for most of us to be able to play freshman football. I hope to touch other peoples lives as much as you have just touched mine in my career as a nurse here at Santa Clara Kaiser. God bless you and your family. |

Do you have any volunteer opportunities? I currently volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and would like something closer to home. |

Hello, I just wanted to say thank you. My family was able to visit the JW house a few weeks ago when my uncle had surgery. The volunteers were so generous and the home is so full of love and peace. I learned of the JW house in September 2007 when both my parents where hospitalized after a car accident and I will continue to support this wonderful cause. JW was a fine young boy and he lives forever in our hearts. May your family have a blessed holiday. |

My mother had a total knee replacement surgery at Kaiser. Although she was only in the hospital for 3 nights, we were with her for most of the time. We found out about the JW House fro ma Kaiser volunteer and decided to check it out. After my mom had to stay for another night in the hospital, we were able to do some laundry so we would have clothes to wear. My mother also had some complications while in the hospital and I ended up spending the night with her. As anyone who spends the night in the hospital would know, you don't get much sleep. I was an absolute zombie, and was very gracious when I was able to sleep for a couple of hours at the House and they even served me lunch afterward. Thanks JW House for everything you do! |
